Pops 8670 Scratch'n Dent 1/4" Forging Special!!

These bars came to us with surface scratches from the mill, but will still work great to forge with!!  They just don't have the normal clean finish that the rest of the 8670 does!

8670 is a high carbon nickel steel. It's extremely stable in the quench, with minimal warping. Combined with non nickel carbon steel it makes for a low contrast damascus steel.

Comes in its annealed state and is properly conditioned, so there is no need for normalizing or thermo-cycling. 

Incredibly tough with great edge retention.

It has a straight-forward heat-treat with very consistent results, and minimal decarb.

Bars are 48" in length. MADE IN THE USA
